Linkin Park Announce Plans For U.S. Tour

Multi-platinum rock act Linkin Park has announced plans for a much-buzzed-about U.S. tour with special guests Coheed & Cambria. The road jaunt is set to kick off February 12th at the Qwest Center in Omaha.

To intensify the live experience, Linkin Park is offering fans the option of purchasing a Digital Souvenir Package with their tickets, a groundbreaking promotion that provides concert-goers with a special post-gig memento: a live audio download of an entire show, exclusive concert photos and a digital tour program.

Coheed and CambriaNews of the tour follows a week in which Linkin Park solidified its position as one of the biggest rock bands in the world. As U.S. fans honored the group with an American Music Award ("Favorite Alternative Rock Artist"), the band was making history overseas as the first international rock group to perform at a stadium in China.

Touring in support of double-platinum-selling new album Minutes To Midnight, Linkin Park played to a sold-out crowd at the prestigious Shanghai Hongkou Stadium on Sunday, November 18th, wowing a packed house with a set list that showcased past and present hits.

Shanghai was the group's sole stop in Mainland China and followed a string of sold-out European, Asian and Australian dates along with a sold-out summer U.S. tour. It's no wonder they were named "Band of 2007" during the recent MTV Europe Music Awards.

In other band news, Linkin Park's Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda will be joining the likes of Quincy Jones and Akon to announce nominations for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards. The press conference will take place on Thursday, December 6th in Los Angeles.
